Mortgages in Spain for non-residents

A Spanish mortgage as a non-resident involves several parties, each with their own role. The bank reviews the application. An ACI-certified adviser gives the mortgage advice. A valuer sets the appraisal on which the bank bases its loan. The notary handles the registration.

Casa Connecta gives no mortgage advice and plays no role in the mortgage process. Mortgage advice and product selection are provided by ACI-certified advisers under Spanish law (Ley 5/2019).

For a full explanation of how Spanish mortgages work for non-residents, read the Spanish mortgage guide. If you want to know whether your own financing documents are present, legible and current before you take them to an adviser, that is what the Mortgage File Check establishes.
